We are looking for a photographer for each Walk for Autism location to take photos/videos of the event. You do not need to be a professional, just handy with a camera and how to transfer them after the Walk. We also welcome with DJ's with experience to emcee at the Walk events. As an affiliate of the Autism Society of America for over 40 years, the Autism Society of Maine has provided education and resources to support the valued lives of individuals on the autism spectrum. Being Maine’s leading source of information for autism, ASM has developed programs to educate and provide resource information to parents, guardians, schools, employers, first responders and the community.
Our information specialist program, annual autism conference and autism workshops are going strong and we believe there is always more to learn about autism and how best to help the individuals in our lives living with autism. ASM maintains a current online resource directory, a free lending library as well as trained staff to answer the many calls we receive each year.
With donations from the Walk for Autism, ASM is proud to offer a summer camp for children ages 5 to 15 years old. This summer camp is in its 16th year. We invite you to be a part of this special program, making it possible for a child with autism to experience a two week summer camp full of fun and friends!
Online registration and donation site with Firstgiving will allow you to develop your own fundraising page and develop teams if you
like. It is very user-friendly and can be shared with your friends and family to spread the word and ask for support by donating to the cause or to join you! T-shirts are available to those who register and raise $50 or more!
Each Team should have a Team Captain and a Team name.
Upon arrival at the Walk, the Team Captain should be the one to bring the team's donations to the registration table and check in members of the team.
